We have to be prepared and ready to attack all stains immediately. If you have an emergency stain fighting kit you can deal with them forever. Always be ready to use the following things will call emergency cleaning kit.
Emergency Cleaning Kit:
1. Spray bottle with cold water.
2. Small Sponges and white paper towels.
3. Some salt.
4. Medicine dropper for using powerful solvents and toxic cleaners.
5. Talcum powder or French chalk.
6. Baking soda.
7. Chlorine bleach.
8. Hydrogen peroxide.
9. Rubbing alcohol or spirit.
10. White distilled vinegar or lemon juice.
Now lets get to stain removal. There are several technique you may use. The first thing to do is to try to absorb the stain.
Absorbing
It is the act of trying to remove as much of the spilled liquid as possible. Do not let red wine or greasy liquids absorb in your carpet. Use some of the items in your kit to absorb effectively. Applying salt you may deal with fruit juice or red wine. Pour a teacup of salt on the soaked area and leave it absorb. When the salt has dried vacuum the remains.
In case you are out of salt use paper towels. Place them on the stain and press gently. Avoid rubbing, just slide your hand on the towel. Change the papers when they are wet and put fresh dry ones on their place.
When dealing with dirt on fur use talcum powder. It lifts the dirt away like shampoos do. Spread it well on the fur garment and leave it for a day. Then brush the talcum off.
